As a coffee chain displacing privately-owned and minority-owned coffee shops in New York, Boston, DC, and London, it was important for Blank Street to acknowledge Black History Month. With my team, I conceptualized and wrote a piece that guided customers towards Black-owned shops in the neighborhoods we served that was available for free at our retail locations. A physical zine was selected in an effort to use the space we took up purposefully.
